Hints & Tips

ALL WASHING MACHINES

According to machine manufacturers recommendations:

  • Using too much detergent can act as a magnet and attract dirt once your laundry is dry.  All of our machines are high efficiency machines and too much soap powder or liquid cannot dissolve or rinse out properly in the amount of water used to do a standard wash.

For your convenience, we offer coin or card payment for our washing and drying self services. All machines accept $1 and $2 coins, there is a note to coin machine on site. We also accept card payment via a QR code if you scan with your mobile phone, or you can pay by card at the kiosk located in the laundromat.

Self-Serve Driers

These are gas driers and much quicker to dry than home driers. They are all fitted with a cool down cycle of 2 minutes so factor that in when calculating how long you will dry for.

Place the clothes loosely into the driers – the air needs to circulate around them to dry.

Don’t put the drier on for more than 30 minutes, most laundry dries in that time. Any more is often a waste of your money – you can’t dry clothes that are already dry. If you want a quicker method of drying, add a dry towel to the load before you start.  Check your drier frequently and remove garments that are dry.

DRYING DOONAS: after 10 minutes, take it out and reposition in the dryer – it will often dry on the outside but not the inside if  you don’t.

As a courtesy to fellow users...

Please remove your laundry from the washers and driers as soon as they are done as there are quite often others waiting to use the machines.

We take no responsibility for any laundry in any of our machines. Use your phone to set yourself an alarm to come back.
